Night 1 at All-Star

Hit my goal, which is pretty much always to break 600. Barely did it. Set went 200-224-182. Funny thing is I felt like I rolled the ball well in Game 3. Missed a spare in the third frame (actually, I opened the third frame of all three games). Couldn’t find a double after getting tapped pretty hard on at least three occasions.

All in all, it was a fine start to the new season.

The journey begins tonight …

All-Star Bowl, site of my greatest six-game stretch of bowling ever, is where I’ll begin league play tonight. Can’t wait to get going, although I’ll probably be more worried about watching the TV than bowling.

Anyone have any advice. I haven’t bowled there in a while and have no idea what to expect with the house shot. All I’ve heard is that it’s tougher than other THS. Any All-Starers out there have any words of wisdom?

Is it bowling season already?

Leaves are on the ground on the golf course and the ProV1s are a lot harder to find when they miss the fairway. That must mean bowling season is about to start once again.

So, what’s on everyone’s minds as the season begins to get rolling? Anyone getting some new equipment (from Travis at his new shop, of course)? Anyone changing leagues?

I will be bowling on Thursday nights at All-Star Bowl in Moorhead this year. Because of schedule changes at work, I won’t be able to bowl Major League (a big disappointment) and because of a move from West Fargo outta town, I probably won’t bowl a lot in the Dirty Dozen couples league at West Acres.

I’m looking forward to league at All-Star. I bowled there years ago and always enjoyed it. Plus, my best six-game stretch of bowling in my career happened there during qualifying for The All-Star Classic a few years back.

Can’t wait to get rolling again. The only problem is that means golf season is soon to be gone. At least I’ll have Thursday bowling league and Sidney Rice catching touchdown passes from Brett Favre on Sundays.

Oh, wait.
